Biden said, “As we found — a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place, we immediately turned them over to the archives and justice department. We’re fully cooperating in looking forward to getting this resolved quickly. I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets. I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no there there.”

The White House understands that they will need to answer this question repeatedly until Biden is cleared by special counsel. Which is most likely.
Media wants to cover both sides of Trump and Biden on classified documents. They’re almost begging for the opportunity to report the story in 2024 horserace-style.
The issue is that both sides aren’t the same. Trump continues to make excuses for having classified documents in his possession. Biden doesn’t have to play these games because he followed the law.
This story seems to be bigger with some cable networks, including the Republican Party and DC media, who are in desperate need of something to discuss during a slow week.
President Biden’s definitive statement is a quick way to shut down a story playing bigger on cable news than in the heartland.
