The accumulated incidence in the last 14 days of the coronavirus in Andorra is soaring: 2,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (in Catalonia it is 276.63). This places it among the four European countries most affected by this new pandemic wave.
Only Slovakia (with an incidence in the last 14 days of 2,753.26), the Czech Republic (2,260.09) and Belgium have a higher incidence than Andorra. Even Austria, which has just decreed a home confinement (although it allows going to work) has a lower incidence: 1,948.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, as reported by the digital ‘ALTAVEU’.
Only yesterday Andorra notified 232 new infections and the average of the last seven days is already 156. To minimize the spread of the virus, in Andorra a few days ago it decreed the use of a mask from the age of six in all outdoor spaces , in urban areas and indoors.
Regarding vaccination, 78.5% of the Andorran population over 16 years of age have already received the full regimen and 80% have received a dose of the vaccine.
