The Secretary of Public Health of the Generalitat, Carmen Cabezas, has indicated this Thursday that the ruling of the Supreme Court (TS) on the covid certificate in the restoration of Galicia forces to explore the possible implementation of this mechanism in access to leisure venues .
The Supreme Court has authorized the obligation to display the covid passport in leisure and restaurant establishments in Galicia, a measure agreed by the Xunta last August for high incidence areas, but which was not endorsed by the Superior Court of Justice of community.

Catalonia had not considered the use of this certificate to enter venues (the nightlife venues are still closed) after observing the problems that communities such as Galicia had faced, which did want to implement it and were rejected by the higher court of the community.
But the ruling of the Supreme Court creates doctrine and changes the panorama and, as Cabezas highlighted this Wednesday, “it opens the door for us to explore it carefully”, because “we have the obligation to study all the options, and this one as well.”
