CaixaBank creates a specific team to attract senior clients. The initiative begins with more than 150 specialists, but aims to end the year with about 500.
CaixaBank has set up the first team of managers specialized in the segment of over 65s and has created the figure of the senior director, which starts in the territorial management of Barcelona with the aim of responding to the specific needs of this group.
As reported by the entity this Thursday, the 151 offices of the territorial management of Barcelona will have at least one of these specialists , since the team is made up of 154 councilors.
CaixaBank, which has 4.4 million clients in this sector of the population , plans to extend this initiative gradually and progressively throughout the Spanish territory, although currently some offices of the Western Andalusia-Extremadura territorial management also have the figure of the senior advisor.
The entity wants to end the year with a team of about 500 specialists, who will serve more than 500,000 clients throughout Spain. All these managers will receive specific training in gerontology approved by the University of Barcelona.
With this initiative, CaixaBank wants to put this group of people over 65 years of age “at the center and recognize active aging as a stage full of opportunities , away from topics associated with older people such as dependency or deterioration”.
In this sense, the proposal aims to “go beyond the strictly financial sphere” and, through the figure of the senior advisor, wants to provide support and accompaniment “to facilitate the day-to-day life of senior clients”.
The entity has designed a specific offer of products and services that are included in CaixaBank Séniors, which offers different financial and day-to-day solutions and the possibility of having exclusion services, such as a 24-hour assistant, a handyman at home, a service of legal consultations or telephone medical consultations.
