The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, through the EOI Foundation, will subsidize with up to 5,000 euros the hiring of young people between 16 and 30 years old registered in the file of the National Youth Guarantee System.
This is stated in a ministerial order published this Tuesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) by which they approve the regulatory bases for the granting of aid aimed at hiring these young people.
To receive this subsidy, the duration of the contracts will have to be at least six months full- time or the equivalent time in part-time hours, and this cannot be less than 50% of the full working day.
The total credit foreseen for these grants amounts to a maximum of 1.5 million euros , which will be financed from the EOI Foundation budget and 91.89% will be co-financed with the European Social Fund through the Operational Program of Youth Employment and the Youth Employment Initiative.
The remaining 8.11% will be provided by the local partner and / or the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
The Youth Employment Operational Program is an initiative of the European Commission that aims to launch new lines of help for young people, of both sexes, over 16 years old and under 30 who do not have any work occupation or are studying or doing any training cycle.
The purpose of these subsidies is that young people who are not employed, nor integrated in the education or training systems of these ages, can receive a job offer after finishing formal education or becoming unemployed.
The payment of this subsidy of up to 5,000 euros per contract will be made at the end of the eligible period, with prior justification from the beneficiary company of carrying out the activity that is the object of the aid.
Companies, whatever their legal form, may benefit from this subsidy, which, as employers, hire young people registered in the National Youth Guarantee System. Entities that are dependent or linked to any Public Administration, whatever their legal form, are excluded from this subsidy.
Non-labor practices
The BOE this Tuesday also publishes another Industry order that regulates the bases in the granting of subsidies to finance scholarships to young people enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System who carry out non-work practices in companies. In this case, the total planned credit is a maximum of 8.03 million euros.
The amount of the subsidy will be 1.2 times the current monthly IPREM for each of the young people during the internship if they last four or more hours a day and 1.4 times the IPREM when the young person has a recognition disability greater than 33%.
The non-labor practices in the beneficiary entities will last three months; and the working day will be, at least, four hours a day, not being able to exceed 30 hours a week.
The internships will be developed in work centers of the beneficiary entity or the business group, under the direction and supervision of a person who supervises them.
As in the previous case, the cost of these subsidies will be co-financed 91.89% with the European Social Fund, through the Youth Employment Operational Program and the Youth Employment Initiative, while the remaining 8.11% It will be provided by the local partner and / or the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
The purpose of these subsidies is that young people included in the file of the National Youth Guarantee System who are between 18 years old and the maximum age established by the National Youth Guarantee System can carry out non-labor practices in beneficiary entities that allow you to have your first professional experience.
