FE PEACOCK COMPLETES WORK ON BOURNE CARE HOME
FE Peacock (www.fepeacock.co.uk), part of Bourne-based building and development company Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk), has completed an 88 bedroom care home on land at Southfield Business Park in Bourne, Lincolnshire.
The home will provide personal and nursing care 24 hours a day for people who are bedridden, very frail or have a medical condition or illness that means they need regular attention from a nurse.
The home will also offer respite care – short term care for those who have had a stay in hospital or to give their full time carers a break.
The care home was built on behalf of United Health Ltd (www.unitedhealth.co.uk), an organisation that has been providing a wide range of independent and supported care facilities for over fifteen years.
The facilities in Bourne will not only care for up to 88 patients but also provide around 100 jobs for local people.
Now all building work is complete, FE Peacock has officially handed the care home over to United Health.
Philip Pearson, chief executive of United Health Ltd, said: “This new centre will provide independence for people in Bourne who need nursing care as well as peace of mind for their families.
“We placed the building contract with FE Peacock because of its established reputation for high quality workmanship and prompt completion of work.”
Karl Hick, managing director of FE Peacock, said: “There is an increasing requirement for facilities such as these which is not currently met in the area. It has been a pleasure working with United Health on this project and I look forward to doing so again in the future.”

FE PEACOCK HANDS OVER AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN LINCOLNSHIRE
Bourne based builder FE Peacock, (www.fepeacock.co.uk), part of the Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk), has completed work on a much needed affordable housing development in Great Gonerby, Lincolnshire, near Grantham. Now the 29 property scheme is complete, the properties have been handed over to Longhurst & Havelok Homes (L&H Homes) (www.landh.org.uk).
The development will provide high quality homes at affordable prices for local people who have previously been priced out of the housing market.
Six of the properties will be available on a shared ownership basis and the remaining 23 have now been let at an affordable rent from L&H Homes.
The homes meet level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, highlighting FE Peacock’s commitment to creating affordable, well-built and energy-efficient homes.
The properties were all built using timber frame construction supplied by Kestrel Timber Frame, also part of the Larkfleet Group. Timber frame construction is an efficient method of building which allows for quicker construction times. The timber frames were sourced from sustainable forests.
Jacqueline Wrath recently moved into a bungalow on the site in Great Gonerby and is delighted with her new home. She said: “I am astounded with the quality of my home and how attractive the property looks. The energy efficiency of the bungalow is impressive as my garden includes a rotary washing line and garden composter amongst other things that I will enjoy using to live more sustainably. Everyone involved in my move has been really helpful.”
Karl Hick, managing director of FE Peacock, said: “This development will provide local people with high quality, affordable homes. The energy efficient nature of the homes is something that FE Peacock is very proud of as it will benefit residents both now and in the future.”
Cathy Aljohari, Project Manager on behalf of L&H Homes at Longhurst Group, said: “FE Peacock has an excellent reputation for building high quality, energy efficient homes. L&H Homes is delighted to provide these homes for local people and meet the demand for affordable housing in the area.”
